Marble at salone del mobile 2025

Every year the Salone del Mobile is an opportunity to observe new trends and materials, to find inspiration or to set trends. Below, we offer a review of the works and projects that captivated us, in order to take stock of the state of the marble and natural stone industry.
MARBLE AS DECORATION, EVEN IN DOORS
Let’s start with a project in which we collaborated with Oikos Venezia, an Italian company that produces designer doors for entrance architecture.
For Oikos we supplied a backlit panel in pure white Onyx, used to create a monolithic security door, ideal for large entrances, designed to follow contemporary living trends and refined in clean design and movement.

THINKING ABOUT THE FUTURE OF MARBLE AND SUSTAINABILITY
The second installation we present is “Aevum”, the three-arched sculpture exhibited at the University of Milan and designed by Zaha Hadid Architects.
The installation was not a celebration of marble in its traditional use: on the contrary, it was an opportunity to reflect on the future of a historic material, in particular its processing, by integrating the use of marble extracted from the Alps with 3D printing, used to create two arches with an innovative mixture of cement and waste marble powder.Â
MARBLE, THE TIMELESS LANGUAGE OF DESIGN
Citco‘s exhibition ‘ETEREA, Shaping the Unseen’ proposed work that explores forms that defy perception and redefine the boundaries between the solid and the ethereal.
Working with Ron Arad, Estudio Campana, Zaha Hadid Design, Kelly Hoppen CBE and Vian Rasool, Citco has created an exhibition that uniquely blends art, furniture and design, celebrating marble as the material of choice and encouraging the viewer to observe and rediscover it with new eyes.

MARBLE AND ITS MAGNETIC BEAUTY
Alimonti Milano surprised us with an installation where stone becomes the protagonist, the subject for exploring the tension between material and lightness.
The “Magnet Collection”, as the new series of unique pieces is called, showed us the expressive power of marble.

DYNAMIC AND PRACTICAL, MARBLE BEYOND STATIC
With the New Wave collection, Marsotto Edizioni wanted to make marble an element of everyday life, taking it away from its “static” connotation and making it practical and dynamic, without ever forgetting its refinement.
In each of its components, the New Wave collection is a testimony to the high level of craftsmanship and the productive wisdom capable of giving life to projects of exceptional precision.Â

MARBLE AS A JEWEL
Elegant and unlike any other work or piece of furniture on display, Budri‘s CHARME collection draws inspiration from the world of fashion and the iconic forms of contemporary jewellery, reinterpreting them in an unprecedented collection of furnishings.
This collection was created in collaboration with Eric Carlson, a well-known American architect.
