Marble VS Peach Fuzz, Pantone’s Color of the Year 2024 in design

Pantone recently announced that Peach Fuzz is the new Color of the Year 2024. Which natural marbles and stones reflect this color? And how can we use them in interior design? Let’s find out together.

1. What is Peach Fuzz and why is it the 2024 Color of the Year?

Delicate and sensual, warm and inviting, Peach Fuzz is an intense peach color, a shade between pink and orange, that conveys a feeling of kindness, tenderness, caring, sharing and cooperation.
This color perfectly matches the desire to rest, to feel calm and to seek refuge. It is a color that aims to bring comfort, harmony and well-being.
The Pantone Colour Institute chose Peach Fuzz because it embodies the hopes and desires of the present, reinterpreting and projecting them into the future. Peach Fuzz is able to evoke both the joy of being close to loved ones and the joy of being in tune with your inner self, and also the beauty of savoring a moment where silence and simplicity reign.

2. Peach Fuzz for us is… Onice Gioiello

Of all the materials in our showroom, one in particular represents what Pantone wanted to express with Peach Fuzz: it is Onice Gioiello, an irresistible onyx whose warm pink and orange hues are perfectly in tune with the color of the year.
Its clouded structure, crossed by fine white veins, exudes serenity and elegance and is perfect for the creation of book-matched compositions in romantic interiors.

3. What are the best colors to combine with Onice Gioiello and Peach Fuzz?

Peach Fuzz and Onice Gioiello’s peach color is naturally warm and inviting. Its soft hue works well with pale colors – from white to more neutral beiges and greys – to add a touch of chic without sacrificing brightness and freshness. The combination with natural woods, both light and dark, is also suitable for creating a comfortable and cozy atmosphere.

4. Discover a new range of marbles and natural stones reminiscent of the Peach Fuzz

In our showroom, there are other materials that are able to evoke the same feelings as those promoted by the Peach Fuzz. Of course, Pink Onyx, with its refined elegance, is the ideal candidate for recreating the sense of comfort and softness that is so typical of Peach Fuzz. But Quartz Pink, a Brazilian quartzite with a pale pink and white background characterized by a light black vein and punctuated by golden mineral intrusions, is also a viable alternative, perfect for stunning book-matched compositions.
